Description

WORD FACTORY PRESENTS:

LIONEL SHRIVER – So the short story doesn't sell?

Special guest reader: Agnieszka Dale.

An evening with one of the most renowned and controversial figures in the short story world. It has long been argued “short stories don’t sell” – but Shriver has proved this is not the case. Her first collection Property (published this month) – reflections on possession, ownership and how what we own works within the dynamics of relationships - was bought by Harper Collins for a six-figure sum. This fact, combined with Lionel’s continual drive to push the boundaries of fictional form and accepted values, will make this a thought-provoking event in our Change Maker series. Lionel will read from her new work and be in conversation with Word Factory director Cathy Galvin.

DON'T MISS THIS MEMORABLE EVENING.

Salon limited to 70 places.
